Last week at practice, one of her teammates tried running past her to steal the ball and Tig held her ground and held the girl off. After running in to Teagan and nearly getting a concussion by coming to such an abrupt halt, she looked up to Tig and said, "Man Teagan, you are a WALL!"
Tig wasn't too sure how to take that. A 50lb, five-foot-nothing, blonde soccer champ calling Teagan a 'wall,' but I told her it was compliment. To be a wall in soccer was just like being a screen in basketball.
At her next game, Teagan let the other team experience her wall-like attributes and helped make way for the other girl to score one of the winning points. (This was a team they had already played before and lost 4-2, and this game they beat them 2-0!)
This game was cold, and wet, and drab, and our little family made up 90% of the cheering section for our team. But we sure did cheer them on all the same!
Teagan is loving playing soccer and wants to join another team for winter season. She is really excited that next season's soccer is indoor soccer and so are we. I am not a fan of sitting sideline with an umbrella and wintercoat on!

Oh sure... NOW she decides to become a soccer star. Not when you had soccer professionals living in your ward. :) This is so cool! I'm glad she loves it!
