Last week had what seems like a once in a blue moon opportunity - we got to go on a field trip as a whole family - Scott and all!!! We went to a pumpkin patch/corn maze place and had a ball! We took a lot of pictures, so I threw some together and made a little tv slide show for your viewing pleasure! It was so windy and really cold, but we were there during school hours, so there weren't a whole lot of people there and we pretty much had free range of all the different activities - although we got there just after the pig races, so we did miss those, to the kids' dismay. we had a hay ride, the kids went on a cow ride of sorts, there were lots of slides and play toys for the kids to play on. There was a giant air pillow that the kids got to jump on, which was really funny to watch them do. As they jumped in the air, the wind would blow them a foot or two away from where they had jumped from and it made it a lot of fun and very giggly for them! They had cute little wagons to drag the little kids around the ground in and Owen was in heaven! The boys wore their John Deere hoodies and Garrett made friends with the driver of the cow train who was driving nothing else but a John Deere! It was a lot of fun for all of us. The hay ride took us to a huge pumpkin patch where the kids each were allowed to pick out a pumpkin they could carry and they were allowed to take it home for free (dads weren't allowed to help carry!) Then it picked us up again and took us back to the main area where we put the pumpkins in the wagon and drug them around the grounds that way. And while we were on the hay ride I - yes, fraidy-cat, can't-talk-to-people me, asked a lady to take our picture as a family. The opportunity to have all five of us in a picture (without having to photoshop someone in) was enough to push me out of my shell and buck up the nerve to ask her to do it. And it was well worth it in my mind! So with no further ado, here for your viewing pleasure, Our Family Field Trip:

That looks like fabulous fun. How great that Scott could go, too.
What fun! And I especially love going places like that when they aren't crowded - good timing! It is so great Scott could go too. Jaya said "Daddy Owen!" when she saw Scott. :)
Oooh, I'm so jealous!! It looks like you guys had so much fun! The Brits don't really know how to do autumn here - I miss corn mazes and pumpkin patches!
That is so not fair. I wanted to go to that place so bad this year. It looks like you guys had a blast and I am glad you were able to go but next time can we come too?
