Garrett is the slouchy baby on the right here at Zerin's blessing day
Here Garrett is a ghost at 2 months old, Spencer is a lion at 4 months, and Zerin is jack-o-lantern at 2 1/2 months
Here are the three monkeys at four years old.We spent the night up with them Friday night so that we wouldn't be so rushed Saturday morning... plus, that way we could work together to prepare the food for the get-together we had planned for after the baptism.
Saturday came and sort of started moving in a surreal sort of dream sequence motion. We finished last minute food details, we gave the boys the gift we had made for them, and we sent them to the church with their Daddies to do the preparations they needed. Spencer's mom had made the boys matching scripture bags with their names embroidered on them and an awesome flame print on the inside. We each bought our boy a set of scriptures of their own, and I made the boys a baptism towel to use as they get out of the font with their name, the date, and CTR appliqued on it. Grandma gave the boys a framed 8x10 picture of the First Presidency, a framed 5x7 picture of Christ, a tie tack, and a scripture bookmark. Aunt Katie gave the boys a porcelain figurine of a little boy kneeling, and Aunt Melonee gave the boys a zipper tie with CTR on it. We did the obligatory hallway pictures with the boys in their jumpsuits, and Garrett was all smiles thr whole time! He was so excited and cuddly and even a bit giggly while he waited It was so cute.
For their program, they had asked some of the cousins to sing some songs, and asked their 14 year old cousin, Josh to give a talk, and Grandma to give the other talk. Everything went wonderfully. The songs were beautiful, Teagan gave a prayer, Josh's talk was great, and Grandma's talk was perfect. Then the boys were baptized and confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It seemed to be just a blink and then it was over.
Afterwards we all went to a near-by park to enjoy the Thai meal we had prepared. The kids played on a playground and the adults got to hang out. We had fresh spring rolls, satay chicken, banana rice wraps, sticky rice, shrimp noodles, fresh fruit and veggies, punch...yummmm..it was all so delicious! The cake Suntaree brought had a picture of the Spencer and Garrett on it, and all the kids enjoyed getting to "eat" parts of the boys' faces.
It was a wonderful day spent with our family. I can't believe that my baby boy is already eight. My little man who asks to cuddle to sleep everynight still. My little guy who says "Hi, Mom" everytime he sees me, even if it just as he passes from one room to another. That little baby who crawled like a walrus just emerged from the baptism waters as a big kid. He is now his own little man...lucky for me, he still wants to cuddle, and still has that same heart melting smile when he says hi to me for the thirtieth time!

It looks like it was wonderful! Congratulations to Garrett and a sigh of relief that all the preparations and the like are now over for Mom. :)
