Mother Nature teaching about nature

In our garden this year we decide to try a new type of squash that we had never even heard of before but were told that it was delicious. It was the buttercup squash - not to be confused with the butternut.

It proved to be a funny-looking but yummy squash.

Scott was impressed with the visual lesson the buttercup squash had to teach.
Maybe it was because the squash were growing right around the time I was due with Duncan, but Scott saw the birthing process on our kitchen counter when they were all lined up together and he wanted me to see if anyone else saw it too...
