Stranger things COULD happen

I just had a super strange experience...small town life is still an adjustment that I am getting used to!

Yesterday the monthly newspaper came out. Junk mail in every one's mailboxes. And who should be on the front page but little 'ole me and two of my littles!

We were participating in the day of service in September and were helping to get a new Family Resource Center ready to open.

Tig made it on to page nine also with a name board sign that the Young Women made. She was the only girl who showed up that day to help, so she was the only one who got in the picture with one of her YW leaders and a lady from the center.

None of us were actually named in the pictures, other than as "a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints", but I was quoted as saying:

“We do all the service that we can, whenever there is an opportunity. It gives my kids a chance to see how exciting it is to give back to other people. My kids were so excited last night when going to bed because they knew that we were going to come and do this today,” Kristina Fife, mother of five said. “My oldest helped make the sign for it and she knows all the services they are going to offer. They are so excited to help do whatever they can. Obviously they are little, but they know they are here to help a community and not just to help a single family.”
Good stuff, huh?

Anyways, the weirdness today came when we got a knock on the door and found our neighbors there with their copy of the newspaper... asking for our autographs!!! You know you have made it big in a podunk little town when you are asked to autograph your picture in the paper!
