Look who's ready for nursery!

Emmy is now officially old enough to go to nursery on Sunday at church! I don't know if I am ready for him to go or not - and I am fairly sure he isn't ready! He is pretty shy of strangers, so I am anticipating his first couple of visits to be a struggle. And I quite enjoy cuddling with him while he naps during the third hour of church.

Emmy is still such a sweet little guy and is so cuddly still - it is hard to believe that he is already a year and a half. He takes 1-2 naps a day, and you can really tell if he hasn't had them. He still doesn't sleep through the night, but wakes up anywhere from 2 - a million times a night to nurse... especially if he isn't feeling well. He wants to be potty trained some days and others he really loves just sitting in his diaper. He loves playing with the family, and Owen is still the sibling who can make him smile the quickest.

He loves water, noodles, being outside, playing with the big kids, watching cartoons with daddy, blankie, nursing, coloring, drawing on the walls, jumping, peeking during the prayer, and balls. He is finding his sense of humor and loves fining silly things and letting you know he thinks they are silly. He is starting to try to be silly all on his own and loves to make people giggle during prayer time with a silly expression.

He loves the "weee" which is the slide - he goes on it over and over and over again all by himself. He loves swinging, both alone and with someone else - swing, hammock, it doesn't matter! He is sweet, and loving, and cuddly, but he has also found his own voice that he freely uses when someone is doing something wrong to him!

He loves bugs a lot, and birds and fish. He loves talking about dogs and looking at them from a distance, but if they are up close he is really nervous around them. He loves "meow"s and "moo"s. He doesn't say too many actual words - he can say Mommy, Daddy, Owey, Tiggy, no, mine, I love you, uh oh, oh no, turtle, moo, meow, tweet tweet, neigh, and more. But he is learning more and more each week it seems. He does lots and lots of signs to help us understand what he wants - his favorites to use are fish, blankie, eat, drink, more, please, and Owen.

We were so blessed when he came to our family and he helps make our family such a happy place to belong!
