A long time ago, there lived a pirate named Scurvy Sam. He was the coolest pirate who ever fought and caught a dragon fish. He later tames it and named it Phil, but that is another story.
This story is about how Scurvy Sam got the Medal of Honor.
It started out on a dark night when he killed the very first night fury - a dark, ferocious beast that no one had ever seen before.
After he killed it, he showed it to everyone so they could see what it looks like. He taped the night fury's lips into a smile shape so it wouldn't be scary to anyone. After all the people in town had seen it, Scurvy Sam gave it to Pirate Brown, who took the tape off and put the stuffed beast in his field to scare the scarecrows away.
Suddenly, a singing parrot flew down and landed on Scurvy Sam's shoulder. It was a messenger bird and it sang this message to him:
"Come visit Honor Owen and get the Medal of Honor"
Scurvy Sam was very happy and he gave the parrot two crackers and he drove off on his motorcycle to visit his old friend Honor Owen, who lived in a hotel. After they talked for a while, Honor Owen asked Scurvy Sam to do him a favor. Since Honor Owen lived in a hotel, he had no where to put his aluminum cans for recycling.So he asked Scurvy Sam to take the cans to the recycling center for him. He did and then brought the money he got for recycling back to Honor Owen and they had cookies and ice cream.
And that is how Scurvy Sam got the metal of Honor
